Garmin Nuvi 1340 Widescreen Review

A wide screen garmin Sat Nav which is only 15mm thick, giving it a slim line look and feel.

It is programmed with maps for the UK, Ireland and twenty two European countiries, including;

Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Norway, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, San Marino, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and even the Vatican City.

It has the great “Lane Assist” features to make it as easy as possible when you are approaching slip roads and junctions on motorways or busy roads in town centres.

With the price of petrol and diesel as high as it is right now you will also like the “ecoRoute™” to calculate a more fuel-efficient way to your destination.

It is of course fitted with Garmin’s special speed camera warnings, which can make sure you are aware of those accident black spots.

This Sat Nav gives clear instructions prior to the turning, for e.g. “Turn right into Dale Avenue”

It updates and recalculates routes, when I have purposefully gone the wrong way, very quickly. There are other useful functions on there, like the points of interest, and the 'where am i' function would be very useful in an emergency. Safety camera alerts are a Godsend.”
